the most successful junior inter counties for kent for many a year finished yesterday.
the boys under 13s who were missing their no.1 and no.3 managed to finish 3rd in the trophy final which was a great effort as 3 of the squad were 9 - 11 years old so have at least 2 more years in this team.well done to robbie finch,chris mebrey, max ringer, chrs schumacher, finn quealey, ryan grant, tom and owen reed,sean agun and james brick.

Well done to the boys under 15 team who won all 3 matches yesterday in the 2nd stage of the national inter counties.
The squad of james evans(mote), josh masters(maidstone), brad masters(maidstone),ryan duke(mote),ed henley(rodmersham) and aidan spinks(bexley/sundridge park) beat oxford, surrey and gloucs to progress to the finals in march.
The girls under 13 team play next week and will hopefully be joining them in the finals!

For the first time the Racketball Kent closed was held at Bromley Cricket Club. From the feed back from all the players and supporters it was a great success. Luckily for Sam Stabler, as it was the first tournament he has organised.
Due to the low entries in the women's main, women's over 45 and men's over 55 there was a round robin tournament in place. Hopefully next year there will be more people entering, as there were a lot of you who didn't bother, you know who you are.

This has been a dramatic year for all those involved in Kent squash and racketball. The tragic death of our long-serving secretary, Ian Wright, brought home to us all the enormity of the tasks he undertook for the benefit of the game.
Finding a team of people to take over the tasks he carried out became our number one priority and we are grateful to Len Locke, Mike Sofianos and Joe Magor for stepping forward to share a massive workload.
